Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday, May 8, 2021, in the 400 block of 8th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 5:45 pm, members of the First District responded to the listed location for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from an apparent stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene until being transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 29 year-old Keith Frye, of Southeast, DC.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Youth and Family Services Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation Human Trafficking Task Force announce an arrest has been made in reference to a First Degree Child Sexual Abuse offense that occurred in Washington, DC.
From July 2018 to February 2019, the suspect engaged in sexual acts with a minor victim.
On Thursday May 6, 2021, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 31-year-old Adrian Walker of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with First Degree Child Sexual Abuse.

At approximately 3:51 am, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene until being transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 43 year-old Kareem Elliot Watkins, of Temple Hills, MD.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, May 3, 2021, in the 1100 Block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 12:30 pm, the suspect approached the victim, inside of an ATM vestibule, at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and took property from the victim then fled the scene.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, in the 1200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 7:25 pm, the suspect and the victim were involved in an argument at the listed location. During the argument, the suspect brandished a gun while approaching the victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, 39 year-old Sherri Guess, of Laurel, MD was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
