Removing the barbed wire

After some realignments along the perimeter of the Capitol fence (and, per reports, some changes to the inner fence) it is now time to remove entire outer fence. Starting with the barbed wire (RSP)
Crews were out early Saturday, and by 10:00 AM had already taken down a number of rolls of the barbed wire (RSP)
It will still be a while before the Capitol is entirely fence-free, however (RSP)
They seemed to be doing a better job of collecting the wires that had been used to hold up the barbed wire (RSP)
As always, the media was out. Though not in as large numbers as when the fence was being built (RSP)
For now, though, much of the view remains the same – and the National Guard is not going anywhere, either .(RSP)
On Columbus Circle, the state flags fly at half-staff. (RSP)
