Hey y’all!!
Did you see our pocket parks? SO MANY GOSH DARN THANKS to our volunteers and donors! Extra thanks to Brotha’s Huddle and Guerrilla Gardeners!! I am over-the-moon excited about what is happening there––and we can do so much more with programming! Any ideas? (you can still chip in to support here or sign up for future volunteer shifts: guerrillagardenersdc.org)
We are having a little pocket park welcome celebration on Saturday, September 26 at 10 a.m. Come out and meet neighbors! (does anyone have a carafe or two that will hold coffee or hot water? can we borrow it for the day?) Also – can you tell I’m excited about our POCKET PARKS!?!?
Sadly no one ran to replace me as ANC on the Nov ballot, but you can still run as a write in candidate!! Info on how to do so here: anc.dc.gov/page/running-write-candidate
Which reminds me: Make sure you are registered to VOTE! It’s super important to vote locally – DC Council At-Large and State Board of Education At-Large are on the ballot.
Did you complete the Census? Did I mention that ANC boundaries are based on every 2000 residents? Make sure you get the representation and resources you need to thrive!
