Kids:

Maury Elementary Ribbon-Cutting

Today at 10 a.m. we officially welcomed back an old friend– who’s looking fabulous and prettier than ever. Maury Elementary reopened in its original location again, 1250 Constitution Avenue NE, after a renovation that started in the spring of 2017, according to the DCPS school modernization site.

Friend of the blog, neighbor, and photog about town Phil Yabut took these excellent photos of the ribbon-cutting, which we are sharing with his permission. Thank you, Phil! And a very happy first day of school to all our DCPS children! (Disclaimer: I have two sons in DC Public Schools, which is why things are extra emotional for me today. Happy back-to-school to all DCPSB kids, who started last week!)
