It’s no secret that we have the best Fourth of July parade in town. Some people may try to say that Palisades is better but does the Palisades parade have The Commandant’s Own Drum or the Eastern High School marching band? The answer, dear readers, is a resounding NO. Plus, Palisades is in Ward 3 and Mary Cheh wants to ban scooters at night, so sorry Palisades: We win.
So, if you want to be in the BEST Fourth of July parade in town, click here. This year, Phil Guire of Phil, Jeanne and Meg Real Estate, have a spiffy form to help you out. You can also email him directly if you have any questions about the parade. Make sure you take loads of photos and tag us, because two out of four of us here at The Hill is Home will be out of the country for the Fourth of July, but we still don’t want to miss a thing.
By the way, I was just kidding. If you want to participate in the very lovely Palisades parade, you can click here to get more information. Incidentally, you could march in the Capitol Hill parade (which starts at 10) and then dash across town and march in the Palisades one (which starts at 11), so why not? Ambition is one of the best/worst traits of America, so celebrate our patriotic excess!
