On The Hill:

In celebration of the Rock & Roll Hotel’s 12 Year Anniversary, Bat Fangs and The Love Language will co-headline the H Street venue. With roots in DC and North Carolina, Bat Fangs’ eclectic punk rock has spread along the east coast. Their hard-hitting guitar solos and classic rock feel will draw you right in. Fans of The Love Language have learned that the band’s music, featuring a rotating cast of talented musicians, is worth the wait. Indiana-based Thunder Dreamer takes indie-rock to an exciting new plane. They mix elements of different genres to capture an alluring, dark, and romantic mood. Their latest album, Capture, touches on hardships, heartache, and isolation through a thick atmospheric veil. On August 9, head out to Songbyrd to check out Thunder Dreamer. In an effort to raise awareness for mental health, singer-songwriter Luke James Shaffer is out on the road and headed straight for DC. His music embodies elements of alternative Americana, folk-pop, country, and soul. Shaffer’s philanthropic side shines through as a portion of the proceeds from his song “We’re All a Little Crazy” go directly to the Global Mental Health Alliance.
