As the 100th anniversary of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in DC approaches, the lead singers of three legendary groups are back together for the celebration.

Glenn Leonard, Joe Coleman, and Joe Blunt are reuniting under the moniker LCB to share their incredible soul-filled, easy-listening jams. The lead singers of their respective bands, The Temptations, The Platters, and The Drifters, got their start singing in local DC churches –the very first being Mt. Pleasant– and on street corners in the 1950s and 60s.

The trio eventually drifted and found fame in their own careers. Combined, the musicians have ended up with over 100 million records sold and dozens of hit singles over the course of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Legendary songs such as “My Girl,” “Only You,” and “Stand By Me” have defined the era and continue to be immediately recognizable to this day.

Leonard, Coleman, and Blunt have since returned to their DC roots to perform all of their respective hits as a single unit. Each performance, they showcase their amazing vocals, harmony, showmanship, dance moves, and everlasting friendship.

LCB will be performing at the 100th-anniversary celebration for Mt. Pleasant on Sunday, May 6. Due to the size of the expected crowd for this incredibly special event, the show will be held at Camelot by Martin’s in Upper Marlboro, Maryland at 5 p.m.
