Have no fear, your local merchants are here! No, really. We are fortunate to have some local business owners who spend the holidays in town and open their stores for a few hours to help us all out. Top of the list: Hill’s Kitchen. Owner Leah Daniels, will be there 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Need a coffee fix? Stop by Peregrine– they are there! Ran out of sugar, eggs, or some other ingredient? Most of our local grocery stores are open until either noon or 2 p.m., as well as our many corner stores.
If all else fails, the folks at Amazon Prime wanted us to let you know that they will be offering 2-hour and 1-hour delivery on Thanksgiving day. But do your local shops and economy a favor and try them first. And then stop by again on Small Business Saturday to #shopsmall and #shopcapitolhill.
