The Set List:

DC welcomes The Anthem to the waterfront!

The Anthem is DC’s hottest, newest venue. It is the main attraction of The Wharf – live music, famous restaurants, shops, and gorgeous Southwest waterfront views all in one stop!

Since its opening in October, the Anthem has brought in massive acts such as the Foo Fighters and LCD Soundsystem and isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Bob Dylan, The Killers, Lorde, and over 30 other more artists are already scheduled to play, with more shows announced each week. Plenty of shows have already sold out, so don’t hesitate to get tickets. Considering the acts this place is bringing in, the prices are unbeatable!

Tickets are available through The Anthem’s website through Ticketfly. They are also available at The Anthem itself, as well as the box offices at the 9:30 Club, the Lincoln Theatre and Merriweather Post Pavilion during business hours. For more information on box office hours and accessible seating options, click here.

Pro Tips:

  • Watch out for special presales and VIP opportunities through the Anthem website, the IMP email newsletter, and fan club sites to get your tickets before the general public
  • The “Super Excellent Seats” in The Anthem are non-transferrable and can only be used when the ID of the name on the ticket is shown. You’re safe from scalpers, but plan ahead if one person bought all of the tickets

The 6,000-capacity venue boasts three levels of viewing space and a massive general admission (GA) floor. The stage can be moved forward to make it a more intimate experience. No matter where you are in the venue, the sound is still fantastic.

As fans enter and pass through the lobby, the massive GA floor leads right up to the sprawling stage where front row fans can get up close and personal with their favorite musicians. For a little extra height on the rest of the crowd, there are tiered risers towards the back of the floor. There are full bars on both sides of the floor with a few food options as well. There is also a bar on the floor behind the back platform with generally shorter lines. Head that way if the main lines are long, or head up to the upper levels

If the main crowd isn’t your thing, the next two levels are even more impressive. There are general admission standing areas around the edges of both upper levels and more bars.

If you’re willing to drop some cash, a total of 16 boxes of “Super Excellent Seats” line the sides of the venue on both the second and the third level. The seats may be expensive but you’ll be rewarded by a fantastic view of the stage and the crowd.

Pro Tips:

  • Behind the seated area in each box is a couple of rows of General Admission standing area. So if you want an awesome view and don’t care about being on the floor or emptying your wallet for a few seats, head upstairs and stand behind a box
  • Skip the line: The bathrooms on the upper levels are just as big as those on the main level.

The Set List will be featuring shows at The Anthem from here on out, so there is bound to be something that catches your eye. This is a venue you don’t want to pass up!
