Summit to Soul will be celebrating their first birthday on July 30th and they are ready to party! Keep reading for more details.
It’s hard to believe that STS has only been around for one year. (Also in that category: East City Books, which celebrated its first birthday earlier this year!) In just one year, owner Kim Wattrick and her staff have built not just a store that carries great workout apparel –with an emphasis on women-owned brands such as Oiselle, Coeur Sports and more– but they have built a supportive community for the fitness-conscious on the Hill. From yoga and Pilates pop-ups in partnership with local studios in the store to training with Kathy Pugh for the Capitol Hill Classic, as well as their support for Girls on the Run during DoMore 24, Summit to Soul has become a gathering place for women. Help them celebrate this watershed year with a fun weekend’s worth of events and CAKE! (It’s okay, you’ll probably burn it off afterward.)

Sunday, July 30 at 10am: Vinyasa to Vino
Taught by Sophia Hyder, this all-level flow class offers participants the ability to explore their yoga practice through a warm up and asana postures held for several breaths to open the body, mind, and spirit. This class is sequenced to help all levels find their strength and flexibility through a series of balancing poses, twists, backbends, and inversions to enable energy to flow freely through the spinal column to support greater health, vitality, and peace of mind. Mimosas and cake to follow!
