The Blue and White Marching Band from Eastern High School has always been one of my favorite groups in local parades. The group is raising money for a trip to New Orleans to learn about the city’s rich musical history and to tour the prestigious HBCU Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While on campus, students will meet with the director of bands and university administrators to discuss scholarship opportunities.
