WMATA Crime Stats
Yesterday afternoon, WMATA sent me the following list of crimes that occurred at the Stadium Armory metro station this past spring. It’s not complete because it doesn’t include crimes listed on MPD’s daily list that is shared with MPD-1D residents. But at least it’s a start. I’ve asked WMATA to update its list to include all crimes. I’ve also requested information on the prosecution of these crimes. Specifically, I want to know if the individuals involved in the incidents below were prosecuted.

Prior to joining DCPS, she was the principal of Maria Saucedo Scholastic Academy, a school in Chicago that serves approximately 1,100 preK-8 students, including 400 English-Language Learners. In 2010, she began the New Leaders principal preparation program and in 2011 was granted the Principal Achievement Award in Chicago Public Schools for her efforts to close the achievement gap. Ms. Vargas has also worked as a bilingual elementary school teacher and taught social science to students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade. Payne Elementary School
Last month, ANC6B10 sent a letter to DGS requesting information regarding the testing of lead in the water at the school. I’ve attached DGS’ response for your review. Click this link for letter: DPS Payne Lead Water Response 616
Community Action Group
Last Monday, Hill East residents met with Community Action Group (CAG) representatives to discuss construction issues and questions related to CAG operations once the CAG building is open. CAG will be providing support to DC residents which is why I don’t understand why the Department of Behavioral Health will be certifying second facility located two blocks away.
The second facility is operated by Andromeda and Commissioner Jayaraman and I have requested a meeting with DBH, CAG, and Andromeda to discuss the permitting process. To put it bluntly, DBH should not be certifying any facility without neighborhood input and so far, they haven’t requested it. My goal with this meeting is to force DBS to address neighborhood concerns.
