It looks like we may have some new movement for the plans to redevelop the Frager’s site on Pennsylvania Avenue!
Urban Turf is reporting that Perseus Realty and development partner Javelin19 closed the sale of 1101-1117 Pennsylvania Avenue SE on Tuesday.
Perseus Realty’s head of development told UrbanTurf that plans call for 4-50 condos with a “focus on larger units in the two-bedroom and two-bedroom, plus den range” and will include parking. And yes, Frager’s is part of the deal as they have reportedly signed a 25-year lease. UrbanTurf also noted that “the development team envisions will be filled by a neighborhood restaurant and coffee shop.”
Another developer, Roadside Development, had hoped to do something with the site, but pulled out last March after being unable to finalize finalize an agreement for the purchase of the site.
