Summer may be over but that doesn’t mean outdoor time has to end. In fact, we’re about to hit one of the best times of years for outdoor activities if the summer humidity isn’t your think.
This is where Recess Outings comes in. Hill resident, Kate Barrett Gallery, has formed a family-friendly bicycle outing company offering guided, small group rides on Saturday and Sunday mornings on the fantastic riverside trails and bike lanes of DC.
When you sign up online, you’ll be able to choose whether you’d like to bring your own bike or ride one of ours, as well as choose whether you’d like us to attach a child seat to the back of one of our bikes for the ride. All gear and equipment are provided so it’s easy to get out the door, bring your child along for the outing if you’d like, and meet us for a great ride.
They promise to not to ride the typical tourist paths or to subject their groups to tourist-filled sidewalks. Instead, paths might go by the ballpark and along the river, or along some of the other sixty-nine miles of bike lanes and wide city streets hat are perfect for pedaling.
