Have you enjoyed meals from some of Washington’s top dining spots during Restaurant Week? Keep the meals from some of the best chefs in DC coming when you take part in the Summer Soiree at the Liaison Capitol Hill’s rooftop pool & lounge on Thursday, August 27. It’s one of those happy hours that makes dinner extraneous, plus you’ll sup well and support the work of the DC Central Kitchen, a local non-profit that reduces hunger with recycled food and trains unemployed adults for culinary careers.

DC Central Kitchen provides a wide array of services for their clients to help find steady jobs, so consider volunteering as well as noshing and donating. In its 25 years of operation, the Culinary Job Training Program has produced 1,500 graduates. In 2014, DCCK produced 96 graduates with a 93% job placement rate.
