As reported back in February, Homebody would be losing is 8th Street location as part of Rose’s Luxury’s planned expansion. This past weekend, Barracks Row Main Street confirmed that the shop would not only stay on Capitol Hill, it would move just a few blocks north into the first floor of Forecast at 218 7th St. SE.
Hill Now explained that Forecast owner Debbie Danielson struck a deal with Homebody owner Henriette Fourcade to help save the home goods store. “Danielson said she’s happy she can use underutilized space in her building to help a friend, who feared the end of her store, which sells sells furniture and household items.”
The move is expected to be completed by September 2015.
