Christmas Tree Shopping Guide

Enchanted Forest, Eastern Market DC

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I will finally accept the non-stop Christmas music and decorations that have been creeping in since Halloween. Ready to pick up your Christmas Tree? You have a lot of options in the neighborhood!

Free Delivery Alert: Put in your order with Brent Elementary by December 1 and you will get free delivery. Or just show up on December 6 to pick out and take home the tree of your choosing. I’ve gone this route the last several years (attaching a 10-ft tree to the top of a Mini seemed like a questionable idea) and have been very happy with the quality of the trees. Visit BrentStore.org for more information.

Frager’s will have 3′-7′ trees at The Pad at Eastern Market; trees 3′ and taller at The Yard (1115 Penn Ave. SE); and Poinsettias and other decorations at the Hardware Store at 1323 E Street SE.

Ginkgo Gardens, 911 11th Street SE, has trees of all sizes and other decorations at their location at 911 11th Street SE. And on Small Business Saturday, all lights, ornaments and decorations will be 20% off!

And, as always, there will be a large selection of frees available at Eastern Market through the entire Christmas season.

The H Street Giant, 300 H Street NE, also has a selection of pre-decorated firs, poinsettias and other holiday decorations right outside the store.

Let us know where you are finding the best deals on the best quality trees and decorations in the neighborhood!
