BAR MADNESS started on Thursday and it’s been a nail-biter all along, despite several major glitches. Not only did we manage to FUBAR our bracket by neglecting to include THE PUG and reader-favorite Toki Underground in our line-up. They were added to the voting mix late, and The Pug won this add-on bracket.
With the addition of one more bracket in the first round, we now have a Sweet Seventeen. To keep the brackets moving, our judges decided to put some fire under the match-up with the lowest voter turnout: this means Tunnicliff’s will be defending its rankings against bracket rival bar Beuchert’s AND against defending champ The Pug. From here on out we promise no more FUBARs to our bracket.
But honestly, thank you to our alert readers and friends. You guys have made Bar Madness 2014 start off with a bang. The Rose’s Luxury vs. Ted’s Bulletin match-up was especially intense and exciting, and we love that you have all been such great sports about tweeting, instagramming, and spreading the word. Thank you all!
