Are you looking to unload that spare room full of needlepoint? Do you need an outlet for all the canned food concoctions you dream up? If so, this may be your big chance: Eastern Market is now accepting applications for new vendors. Several categories of vendor stalls are up for grabs, so don’t limit yourself to stitching or pickling. The Market has open applications for the following:
- Antiques/Vintage/Collectibles Dealers
- Arts and Crafts Vendors
- Ethno-Specific Importers
- Prepared Food Vendors
- Farmers and Producers for Tuesday Market
Each application is unique to the type of vendor requested, and needs to be submitted with photos and a $35 non-refundable application fee. The applications include essay questions (just like college!) and authentication is “required” for items like antiques and hand-crafted “ethno-specialties.” Also, certain categories are only open for specific days: the farmers are relegated to the Tuesday market, and the antiques and crafts are for Sundays only.
