There are a few things that no Easter weekend should be without: brunch, some of your favorite candy, and Easter egg hunts.  This Saturday you have two chances to get your kids in on the fun around the neighborhood.  Okay, the hunting for eggs part is really just for the kids but watching them run around and get excited about the plastic toys they find is pretty awesome for the parents.

From 1pm until 3pm on Saturday, The National Community Church will be hosting an Easter Eggstraveganza in Lincoln Park.  There will be two easter egg hunts, a life-size’s Easter Bunny, face painting, games, prizes and a bike raffle.  Get more information and register here.

Also on Saturday, Barracks Row Main Street is holding an easter egg hunt from 2pm until 4pm on Barracks Row.  The “bunny trail” starts at 8th and E Streets, SE.  There will be free easter egg baskets, a golden egg, an Easter Bunny, pastry treats from Ted’s Bulletin, chocolates at the Home of the Commandant, a toy train and a raffle.
