DCMud has pics of today’s Union Market, in the midst of a transformation into DC’s “newest culinary destination” at its opening on June 3.

I’m usually the first to say that the people and events of Capitol Hill make it the best place to live, but In Shaw’s progressive block party shows there’s always something new we can try.

In the category of “something else I didn’t know I needed”, Borderstan highlights U Street’s new combo antique shop/tanning salon.

It may be a pain to get there, but apparently once you are in Georgetown it is quite walkable, according to The Georgetown Metropolitan.  It was surprising to see that G’town’s walkability score ranked above Capitol Hill proper, but not Swampoodle (aka, Union Station) or Hill East.
