Trust me, I’m no fan of Suburbia. And chances are, Gentle Hill Is Home Reader, neither are you.
But seriously, wouldn’t you give your right arm sometimes for just one decent #@*^! closet? How about a garage? Have you ever dared to dream about windows that actually *all* open? Lord knows our 100+ year old houses are charming but part of me would gladly trade all this glorious ramshackle quirkiness just to not have to cross my fingers everytime I flushed a toilet.
Well, guess what, I’ve got one for you and you won’t even have to move to Reston. Want a decent closet? How about TWO walk ins in the master bedroom alone! Two car parking garage! A full bath for each of the 3 bedrooms! Two half baths! New 2004 construction has all the mod con’s and plenty of charm with 9′ ceilings, crown molding and thoughtfully designed built ins.
Here’s the clincher – all this is a measly 2 blocks from Lincoln Park. So, yes, it does exist – and I’m showing it from 1 – 3 on Sunday! See you there.
See this link for the rest of this weekend’s open houses.
Be sure to call local, experienced agents to assist in your purchase of any of these great homes! Karen Voellm (202) 262-5242 and Wes Grooms (202) 549-1779 of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage!
I have been considering relocating to DC from NY, and have been enjoying this blog. I’m not exactly sure how real estate offices work, but I have to say I find the comment from Karen_and_Wes, who appear to be at the same office, a tiny bit sleazy unless I am mistaken about how things work. Wouldn’t I be contacting Dare Johnson Wenzler about this property? Are Karen & Wes attempting to steal this listing from her or is this how things normally work. Who do I contact? Dare or Karen & Wes?
Hi abookpublicist. Dare’s right — you can contact any agent you’d like to help you with your search. We hope you move to DC (and especially to the Hill) because its a great city. And you’re also right, the comment from an agent in the same office is a bit sleazy. But rest assured that its out of character in our great neighborhood.

I am currently looking to relocate from NY to DC and have been enjoying this blog. I’m a little confused though. Do I contact Dare Johnson Wenzler or Karen & Wes? I’m new to how real estate offices work, but they appear to work at the same brokerage, and if so, it seems a little sleazy for Karen & Wes to comment with their phone numbers. Are they trying to “steal” this listing or is this type of thing SOP? And here I thought NY was competitive and cut-throat.
Didn’t mean to leave the same message twice, but new to commenting on blogs.
