National FreedomFest Comes to The Yards Park for The Fourth

DC does the Fourth of July very well.  And our little neighborhood does it even better.  We have some of the best views of the fireworks, we’re a close and easy walk to most the big festivities, we have our own neighborhood parade…the list goes on.  And this year, we also get a two-day festival on the water.

On July 3rd and 4th, Yards Park will play host to the National FreedomFest, which will include more than 40 bands and DJ’s on 5 stages, food vendors, and of a kind craft vendors “and so much more.”  The event is brought to us by HiBall Events, the group behind BLOCKtoberfest.

Single day tickets are currents $24.99 and will increase at $34.99 “soon,” so buy them fast if you want to save yourself a few bucks.  Two day tickets are $34.99 and will increase to $49.99 once a certain number are gone.  VIP tickets, which includes beer, a limited-edition FreedomFest 2011 mug, and special access to stages and other areas range from $64.99-89.99 for a one day pass and $99.99-139.99 for a two day pass.  There are also “Taste of Freedom” tickets for $150-400.  Those will get you all of the VIP access, plus unlimited tastings of craft beers such as Goose Island & Starr Hill as well as wine and food pairings for the tasting enthusiast, a climate controlled tent and private bathrooms.  Proceeds for Taste of Freedom will be donated to men and women who serve our country and children with chronic illness.
