We thought the redistricting issues were a done deal, but the City Council has decided to keep us on our toes. Last minute dealings seem to have resulted in Hill East staying in Ward 6; Kingman Park staying in Ward 7, despite their best efforts; and Reservation 13 becoming part of Ward 7. And don’t fret, redistricting news isn’t the only thing to get excited about. The Hine School is back on the calendars, with a special call meeting on June 21st. Maybe things around here will quiet down in July… but then what would we write about?
- ANC Commissioner Kirsten Oldenberg reported that the Hine developers’ revised plans will be submitted to the Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) and June 14, and on June 21st, ANC6B will hold a special meeting to see a presentation of the revised plans, hear the community’s reactions, and vote on a second resolution.
- EatMore DrinkMore reviewed Zest American Bistro.
- The Examiner discussed the possible arrival of Chipotle to coming to Barracks Row.
- Frozen Tropics got some details on the plans for Pho Bar & Grill on H Street.
- DCmud examined the development plans for H Street, which have left the middle section a bit “soft.”
