Happy first official day of summer!  And how about that 8-game winning streak by the Nationals? It’s a shame it ended with a loss on Father’s Day but it was good to see our guys playing so well.  Especially from the sweet seats in the Presidents Club that we scored for the day…those are some nice amenities.  I could definitely get used to the all-inclusive and in-seat service that they have set up down there.  Now I just need to win the lotto so I can actually afford the tickets…

  • According to the Washington Times, some Ward 7 residents are quite displeased with Councilmember Alexander for winning Reservation 13 in the redistricting battle.
  • Loose Lips speculated that Councilmember Wells is angling himself for a higher position in DC government.
  • Prince of Petworth noticed some new yard art that was recently completed near me and Marion Park.  What do you think?
  • JDLand reported that a raze permit application has been submitted for 900 New Jersey Avenue SE, also known as the trash transfer site, which will one day become a 300+ unit mixed-income apartment building.
  • ANC Commissioner Norm Metzger shared the the latest Hine development plans that will be considered at the ANC6B Special Call Meeting on Tuesday, June 21, 7 PM at the Peoples Church (535 8th) and then by the Historic Preservation Review Board on June 30th.
  • The Old Naval Hospital neighbors who are displeased about the ANC’s support of the voluntary agreement and liquor license are planning to submit a formal protest to the Alcohol Beverage Review Administration. (EMMCA).
