It's Time to Go to Barracks Row!

The Udvar-Hazy center has the time.
The Old Post office has it, too.
The Baltimore skyline has it, courtesy of Bromo-Seltzer.
The Lodge at Pebble Beach has it, courtesy of Rolex.

And now, thanks to the generosity of two long-time neighbors and members of the community and a savvy restaurateur, Barracks Row also has the time!

That’s right: Karl and Carrol Kindel are donating a beautiful pedestal clock so that our beloved 8th Street, SE, can tell you how long you’ve been waiting for your table at Matchbox in style; and restaurateur Xavier Cervera — most recently of the tasty-sounding Senart’s Oyster and Chop House — is donating the power and maintenance to let the good times keep rolling.

If you haven’t seen the clock, which is in front of Cervera’s newest restaurant at 520 8th Street, SE, you can scout it out today and help welcome this handsome new addition with a dedication and reception, this afternoon, May 12th, at 3pm.
