Hill Buzz

No matter how old I get, this time of year always makes me wish I could be a kid again and get a spring break.  And a summer vacation.  A nice long break from the work without having to return to a full inbox of stuff to catch up on. On the other hand, I really don’t miss having a curfew and a tiny allowance.  And homework was really never my thing either.  Okay, I’ll take adulthood… that teenage angst did get old after a while.

Oh yeah, it’s Tuesday and I’m supposed to be doing our link roundup, not daydreaming about being a carefree kid again.  Right…

  • JDLand and DC Metrocentric had updates on the Lumber Shed at Yards Park.  I can’t wait to see this one completed!  It’s delayed, but hopefully not for too long.
  • JDLand also had some information on a rumor that Xavier Cervera (owner of Molly’s, Lola’s, Senart’s, Pacifico, BoxCar…) will be opening a restaurant in the Boilermaker Shops.
  • DC Mud and Urban Turf reported that the groundbreaking for the big H Street Apartments project will be in July, meaning the corridor is even closer to getting its own grocery store!
  • We Love DC checked out Seventh Hill.
  • We Love DC also checked out Queen Vic.
  • And according to a source on Twitter, Tru Orleans will be opening in May…
