Crime, development, new businesses, liquor licenses…it’s the fun that fills the agendas of the community meetings. So mark your calendar and come out to meet your ANC commissioner, police officers and other community meetings.
- Monday, February 7: The Rosedale Citizen’s Alliance will have their monthly meeting at 7pm at the Temporary Rosedale Recreation Center, shuttered Gibbs Elementary School – Corner of 19th & E Street NE (use the main entrance on 19th Street). Of note, there has been a rumor circulating that tonight is some sort of renaming ceremony for the Rec Center. Our understanding is that there is a group of people (who apparently do not live in Rosedale) who are trying to rename the Rec Center, however tonight’s meeting is supposed to be a community discussion about the possibility of a name change, not a ceremony to make the change.
- Tuesday, February 8: ANC 6B will meet at Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, located at 522 7th Street, SE (note the new meeting location). The full agenda can be found on their website. The voluntary agreements for Nooshi and Moby Dick will be reviewed at this meeting, so there is potential that this will be a long one. Also on Tuesday is the PSA 102 monthly meeting at 7pm at the Sherwood Recreation Center, corner of 10th and G Streets, NE.
- Wednesday, February 9: ANC 6C will meet at 7pm at the Heritage Foundation, located at 214 Massachusetts Avenue NE. The full agenda can be found on their website. Also on Wednesday, the PSA 103 monthly meeting will be held at 7pm at Miner Elementary School, 601 15th Street, NE.
- Thursday, February 10: ANC 6A will meet at 7pm at Miner Elementary, 601 15th Street, NE. The agenda can be found on their website.
- Monday, February 14: ANC 6D will meet at 7 pm at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, 140 L Street SE, in the 2nd Floor Admiral Rooms. The agenda can be found on their website.
- Thursday, February 17: The PSA 107 monthly meeting will be held at Liberty Baptist Church 527 Kentucky Avenue, SE at 7pm.
- Wednesday, February 23: The Eastern Market Community Advisory Committee will hold its monthly meeting in Eastern Market’s North Hall at 6:30pm.
