I heard two very good things Tuesday. Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow and La Lomita has reopened its doors. I can almost taste the first margarita of spring on their patio.
After the fire in early December, the plucky neighborhood stalwart closed its door and took the opportunity to freshen up. They needed to recover from the firemen as much as the fire. Now the dining room has a sunny new coat of paint, and exposed brick wall and smart new tablecloths. Don’t be fooled, its the same dear La Lomita. There are still sombraros hanging from the ceiling and your favorite waiters are waiting to bring basket after basket of chips. Be warned, they’re just as inclined to pour that pitcher of margaritas much more quickly than you intended. And you don’t have to wait ’til spring!

Can THIH do a “Best Margarita” poll? Must be on the Hill to qualify.
What does: “They needed to recover from the firemen as much as the fire.” mean?
