Monday Morning Circle Time

Happy Monday! It’s time once again for our virtual circle time where we we reveal the most intimate details of our lives.

Okay not really.  But how did your favorite THIH bloggers spend this glorious and windy Mother’s Day weekend? Let’s find out…

Robert:  Quiet weekend doing the house tour and grilling in the back yard.

Liz: Moving. Moving. Moved.  From SE to NE. The only flower that crossed my path this Mother’s day was a dead dandelion the movers had packed with the kids toys. My wonderful new neighbor gave me the password to her wireless network because we do not have cable hooked up yet.

Nicole: On Saturday I went back to Ted’s for an early dinner with friends and everyone was really impressed. These guys are putting a lot of care and effort into this place and it shows!

Sharee: We were away for the weekend, but settled back in by enjoying a slice of Banana Cream from Dangerously Delicious Pies.

Kyra:   Hmm… This weekend I learned that I could spend my weekend exclusively on the Hill and be very happy. What keeps me happy on the Hill? Baseball games at Nats Park, buying beaded necklaces at Eastern Market, stopping for sandwiches at Prego and trips to Fragers for supplies–all with my family.

Maria: We had fun walking all over the Hill and watching the baby (a.k.a. Nichole’s boyfriend) get really good at walking all over the Kogod Courtyard at the Portrait Gallery.

David: Finally made it to Montmartre on Sunday — where I had an incredible brunch — and then headed to Eastern Market, where I bought a Mother’s day gift.

Tim:  Spent my first weekend on the Hill in an insufferably long time, ditched big plans to go to Flower Mart at the Cathedral and Train Day at Union Station to hang out at Eastern Market and have friends over for dinner. Good call.

Jon:  Friday night at Nationals Park for a decent game, even though the Nats lost.  Sunday morning was spent puttering around the Hill, including the almost-weekly pilgrimage to Eastern Market for a bag of kettle corn
and some live music.

Me (Jen):  I spent the weekend at my folks in New Jersey consuming twice the calories I do on a normal day and once again lamenting the sad state of pizza in DC.

What about you? Did you check out the house tour? Eat at Ted’s? Let us know in the comments!
