Excuse the quick list of links and ramblings today, but my real job – the one that actually pays me in money so I can pay my bills – has needed more of my attention than usual this week…yes, and it’s only Tuesday, please don’t remind me. One day someone will decide to pay me for all this blogging, right? But maybe that will be the day it stops being so enjoyable. Either way, my morning beverage is likely going to include a few shots of espresso today.
- Streetcars talk was all the rage this past week: Greater Greater Washington says that we can start seeing the streetcars by 2012, Washington Business Journal reported that Jim Graham wants to move the H Street streetcar ahead of the Anacostia streetcar on the priorities list (via Frozen Tropics), and The Washington Post looked into the debate over the overhead wires in two editorials.
- DCist thinks H Street should be renamed the Red Tape District.
- C St NE Project shared an article from The Voice of the Hill on the narrowing down of the design options.
- Roll Call covered places to drink outside on the Hill.
- City Desk‘s “Neighborhood Watch” looked into Banana Cafe’s request to extend the hours of the liquor license and outdoor seating, and the backlash by neighbors.
- DC Mud looked at some of the proposed designs for the redevelopment of the Eastern Market Metro Plaza.
