Speaking of dogs, tickets for your four legged friend sold out weeks ago, but you can hang out with other people’s dog at the Pups in the Park baseball games this weekend. Tickets are $20 ($10 off) and $2 goes to the SPCA. The Nats play Florida at 7:05 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Friday evening, catch one of the last Jazz in the Garden events down at the National Gallery Sculpture Garden. Curl up under Claes Oldenberg’s Typewriter Eraser and enjoy the tunes jazz guitarist Phil Mathieu. Friday, 5 to 8:30 p.m. 7th & Constitution, NW.
As I said, things start heating up next week. On Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., Wisdom gets the school year started with a whiskey class. Study partner, anyone? Four cocktails and a cheese course is included in the $20 ticket price.
