We told you back in October that popular NoMa coffeeshop Pound was coming to 621 Pennsylvania Ave. SE, a block that is suddenly experiencing quite a revival with recent additions Ba Bay and Labyrinth. Well, this Saturday you’ll get a preview of Pound and Kickapoo Coffee (Pound’s beans of choice, and Roast Magazine’s 2010 Micro-Roaster of the Year – who knew?) from 8am – 12pm in front of the shop-to-be.
In addition to the FREE coffee, Pound will be offering up their in house baked goods like banana and pumpkin bread. (also FREE!) So, while you’re out and about this weekend, stop by and check them out.
Pound will be open and serving all of this and more (Falafel Friday!) starting in February 2011.
Please tell me Pound serves coffee in ceramic mugs. This will make me very happy.
