This is one of the best ways to experience the small town feel of our great neighborhood. Hilloween is a community tradition on Capitol Hill, with food, face painting, games and more.

This year, Hilloween will take place on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 5:30-7:30pm on 7th Street SE between Pennsylvania Avenue and North Carolina Avenue SE.

Usually Hilloween takes place on Halloween but with the holiday falling on a weekend, we get to spread out our our festivities over two nights. Having the celebration on the same day as the weekend market was logistically tricky. But the benefit is two nights of fun instead of one. Win-win!

While Hilloween is mostly for the kids, it’s quite entertaining for us adults as well, and your attendance helps support various schools and organizations. Food & drinks will be available for purchase from Tunnicliff’s and Boxcar; St. Peter’s School will be selling muffins; Ms. Frances’s Nursery School group is selling popcorn; and Acqua Al 2 is giving away cider and treats. In addition, Fulcrum Property Group will have a photobooth, Madame Donner will be reading fortunes with tarot cards, and a number of Hill businesses will have tables set up with all sorts of treats.

Are you excited yet? We sure are!

See you at Hilloween!
