So you got out of dealing with the family crazy this Thanksgiving and you’re staying in town… congratulations! Making an entire Thanksgiving meal yourself can be daunting, so we checked out some of the places that are open on the Hill for your Thanksgiving dining pleasure.

Bistro Cacao (320 Mass. Ave., NE) is open from 11am-9pm and serving Chef Deger’s Special three-course menu for $39.95 per person.

Next door, Café Berlin (322 Mass. Ave., NE) will offer a $39 fixed-price, traditional turkey dinner with many of your German favorites.

Art & Soul (415 New Jersey Ave., NW) Chef Art Smith worked up a menu of his favorites including turkey three ways, house-made maple ham, rib eye, cornbread stuffing and pies.

One of the newest restaurants on the Hill, Willie’s Brew & Que (300 Tingey St, SE) will be open from 11am-2am on Thanksgiving. Even if you don’t eat there, it sounds like a good spot to head to for a post-meal beer. They are also accepting orders of whole smoked and brined turkey with all the fixins until Nov. 20.

Thanksgiving food not your favorite? Las Placitas (517 8th St., SE) and RedRocks H Street (1348 H St., NE) both show open reservation times on opentable.com.

And if you are cooking up a Thanksgiving feast of your own, be sure to head to Medium Rare (515 Eighth St., SE) where owner Mark Bucher is frying up turkeys for free. A tradition at his Cleveland Park location, Mark will fry your 8-10 pound turkey for free as long as it’s fully defrosted beforehand and you have a container to bring it home in. Stop by on Thanksgiving Day between 11am-2pm (first come, first fry) – he’ll also have complimentary hot cider, coffee and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade viewing while you wait.

Updated: Also open on Thanksgiving:

  • Bidwell at Union Market is open from 12-8 serving three-course Thanksgiving dinner for $40 a person, $20 for children under the age of 10
