Good Morning, Capitol Hill! It’s only a few short hours until Stephen Strasburg makes his debut as a Washington National tonight; are you headed to the game?
I’m here to get you through the morning, one way or another, with the scoop on what they’re saying about Capitol Hill on other blogs around the city. As Claudia would say, Grab a cup of coffee and settle in for this week’s installment of Hill Buzz. Speaking of Claudia, she’s back from Peru and will be back to rounding up Hill Buzz next week.
In the meantime, here’s what everyone else is saying about the Hill:
The New York Times profiles Taylor Gourmet (both its H Street NE and K Street NW locations) in its latest, “Hey DC isn’t as backwoods as we thought,” piece.
From Komi to Marvin investigates the best Chinese Take Out on the Hill. If you’re looking for down to earth reviews of some of DC’s most critically acclaimed restaurants, check out the rest of her blog.
Prince of Petworth had one of his famous Good Deal or Not Revisited posts about a place on 16th and F NE. The previous GDON post is also worth a look.
JDLand talks more about the possible move of the Marine Barracks to Virginia Avenue.

the crazy thing about that NYT article is it’s headline and premise that Taylor and other restaurants on that part of K Street are somehow related to the K Street of lobbyist lore.
any DC resident knows that the two just happen to share a name, but shouldn’t be lumped together. it’s like trying to draw a direct comparison between augusta, GA and key west, FL because they’re both on US 1.
