In case you hadn’t heard, the Foo Fighters will be performing at RFK on July 4th as part of their 20th Anniversary celebration. 50,000 people are expected to attend all-day extravaganza, which will feature fireworks, a motorcycle rally, BBQ, and more. Events DC, WMATA, and other DC agency officials will be meeting with neighbors on June 15th at 6:30pm at RFK to discuss the transportation plan for the event.
Given the impact of concert goers on the surrounding neighborhood after past events, the ANC is working with organizers to ensure neighborhood concerns are heard. ANC6B Commissioners sent a letter to Events DC this week concerning the neighbor meeting. A copy of the letter can be found here.
