So lots of things have been canceled in the last few days, but let’s see what the rest of your weekend has going on…weather permitting. I hear someone built an igloo at Lincoln Park, so you can alway head over there to help.
Today is Valentine’s Day and the Corner Store and the Fabulettes are hosting a dance party. Channeling the girl group sound of the ’60s, it should be a fun night. Don’t have a partner? That’s okay because singles are welcome. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
j.chocolatier is hosting a pop-up shop all weekend-long in the space formerly occupied by Monkey’s Uncle. Stop in and get yourself or your Valentine a sweet treat.
CHAW is hosting another Paint & Sip, an evening where you learn some painting techniques while enjoying a glass of wine. So civilized. It begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. The cost is $30 which includes refreshments. Call 202- 547-6839 to register.
Saturday afternoon head to the Hill Center to catch a conversation between reporters Tom Sherwood and Mark Segraves and mayoral candidate Councilmember Vincent Orange. The event is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and is free.
Rorshach Theatre’s modern Beauty and the Beast tale Glassheart is still running at the Atlas and the ruthless Richard III is killing his way to the top at the Folger.
