  • MPD Investigating Knox Place Homicide

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who killed a man on Knox Place.
On Sunday, February 16, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to a residential building located in the 2900 block of Knox Place, Southeast, for the report of a shooting. Officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene. Despite all lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 37-year-old William Williams, of Southeast, DC.
A suspect was captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the above photos and this video.

  • MPD Seeking Persons of Interest in 14th Street Shooting

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying four persons of interest in reference to a shooting in Northeast.
On Sunday, September 27, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., the suspect approached the victim in the 2700 block of 14th Street, Northwest. The suspect produced a gun, shot the victim, and then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The persons of interest were captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the attached photos.

  • MPD Seeking Persons of Interest in Northeast Armed Burglaries

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying multiple persons of interest in two armed burglaries that occurred in Northeast.
On Saturday September 19, 2026, at approximately 5:51 a.m. the persons of interest forced entry into an occupied home in the 1900 block of D Street, Northeast. The persons of interest who were armed with a firearm found the resident in the basement of the home and stole property from the victim to include their vehicle keys. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle has been recovered.
Two of the persons of interest were captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the attached photos.
On Friday, October 2, 2026, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the persons of interest knocked on the victims’ door at their home in the 1000 block of Sigsbee Place, Northeast, and forced their way inside. Once inside, the persons of interest took vehicle keys and assaulted both victims. One person of interest, who was armed with a firearm, assaulted one of the victims and attempted to engage in an unwanted forced sexual act with the victim. Both victims were able to fight off the person of interest. The persons of interest fled the scene in the victims’ vehicle before officers arrived.
The victims’ vehicle is described as a silver 2015 Honda CHV. It was last seen displaying a DC tag of FX2120. The picture is attached.

  • MPD Seeking Persons of Interest in a Burglary

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying persons of interest in a burglary that occurred in Northeast.
On Saturday, September 5, 2026, at approximately 6:04 p.m., the suspects broke a window and entered an unoccupied home in the 1400 block of Ames Place, Northeast. While inside, the suspects took property and then fled the scene.
