After several soggy weekends, it is nice to finally see the sun again. Thanks to everyone who made time to pick up litter last Saturday–and thanks to our newest sponsor, Atlas Vet. Join your neighbors on the first Saturday of every month at 9 AM at any one of these locations (gloves and bags provided): Atlas Vet, The Pretzel Bakery, 7-Eleven, Trusty’s, Capital Candy Jar and Congressional Cemetery. Go-Karts
As I mentioned last month, Go-karts are coming to Lot 8 (south of stadium) at RFK. For more information, contact: Villareal Johnson of Events DC: vjohnson@eventsdc.com or read this WAMU article on the proposal with a picture of the kart.
C Street Public Meeting
At last month’s 6A Transportation and Public Space Committee meeting, several of you expressed concerns regarding recent changes to DDOT’s plans for C Street. DDOT has gone back to the drawing board and will have a new set of designs in response to the 600+ emails and comments received. For a detailed breakdown on the changes, see this WABA article. I will follow up on the June 11 meeting in my next post. Councilmember Allen and I both attended. Thanks to those neighbors who joined us.
Early Voting now, Election Day for DC Primary is June 19th
The polls are open for DC’s Primary Elections–make sure you remember to vote. Starting today you can vote at Judiciary Square.
