Adoptable Pet: Benny

unnamed-3Resilient. That’s the best word to describe Benny. This adorable little guy got a rough start at life when he lost one of his eyes after being hit by a car. But he has fully adjusted and it doesn’t affect him one bit.

Benny is a six month old Chihuahua puppy looking for a home through the Washington Humane Society. He enjoys making friends with other pups, playing fetch and tug-of-war, and cuddling with his foster parents after long walks on East Capitol Street. He’s making great progress on his house training and would do well in a home with older children. Benny loves having his picture taken and will hold any pose you put him in – check out his Instagram account @whsbenny.

unnamed-2Benny is lucky enough to be staying with foster parents Josh and Matt while he waits for his forever family. Josh and Matt moved to the Hill from Logan Circle three years ago with their two dogs Sawyer, a dachshund mix, and Violet, a rat terrier.  They are avid gardeners in their own yard and in community spaces on the Hill. Benny is their second foster dog and they are hoping to find him a great home in the neighborhood!
