Visit Hill Eateries at Taste of DC

If your plans for the weekend of October 13-14 have been scrapped because of the federal shutdown, rest assured our city’s street festival season continues strong with Taste of DC.  This annual event takes over Pennsylvaia Avenue NW from 9th to 14th Streets (so a little off the Hill) and brings together over 70 of DC’s restaurants, cafes, and food trucks.  It’s always a popular (crowded) event, but it’s also a great place to try new restaurants or new dishes at favorite haunts.

The Hill will be represented mightily by Tunicliff’s Tavern, as well as Wisdom’s own Erik Holzherr on the 9th Street Culinary Stage (on Sunday).  More participants may be added as the event draws near, so check the festival website for the most up-to-date information.

Live music, a beer garden, and family activities round out your value for the $10 admission fee.  Tastes at each restaurant stall range from $1 to $3, with some offering larger plates as well.  There will be over 50 wine and beer options as well, each offering tastes and full pours priced accordingly.
