It was just a year ago that Hill Buzz shared the Young & Hungry reported Rose’s Luxury would soon grace 8th Street; just last week Claudia gave it a rave review. Bluejacket, Chicken & Rice, and real estate close to the Tune Inn also made it into Hill Buzz that week. Any updates on when Bluejacket will open?

Speaking of beer, we also had a raving review of the Snallygaster Beer Jamboree. Last year the Yards Park festival of all things brew featured 150 beers. It turns out the Snallygaster is scheduled for Union Market next Saturday.

Lost Capitol Hill was focused on tourism, and specifically the trinkets tourists — from all eras — like to load up on. Perhaps this week many of us are planning staycations? Can’t really do the tourist in your own backyard thing if all the “attractions” are closed, eh?  Read this post and you’ll think a bit differently about the ubiquitous “Made in China” stamps on most Washington souvenirs.
