Capitol Hill 4th of July Parade in Photos

The annual 4th of July parade on Barracks Row is by far one of my favorite neighborhood traditions (the fireworks show in Lincoln Park is a close second, along with the trick-or-treating extravaganza on East Capitol Street for Halloween…).  You get to watch everything from the Marine Corps marching band to council members, parents and teachers from local schools, local dog  groups with their four-legged friends, local businesses, the Men in Blue, The “Princess Patrol,” and kids or neighbors who just wanted to dress up and join in.  This year we even had a Wonder Woman zooming around on a scooter!  And let’s not forget the Pride of Capitol Hill: our very own Eastern High School Marching Band. If you missed out, we have plenty of pictures for you.

If you’d like to have your photos added to this slideshow, just add the tag “4thofjulyparade2012” and add the photo(s) to our Flickr Pool.
