Less than a year ago Chocolate City Beer poured their first beer at a business on H Street. Now, to benefit H Street Main Street, the local brewers are making their latest brew exclusive to the neighborhood where they got their start.

This Saturday, eight barrels of Sakura Washington, inspired by the 100th anniversary of the Cherry Blossom, will be divided up at Granville Moores, Queen Vic, The Pug, The Big Board and Smith Commons.

“H Street DC is a small business wonder— great food, great vibes and locally owned establishments. Chocolate City Beer poured it first beers ever on H Street, now we get the opportunity to pour our latest just for H Street,” explains Jason Irizarry, CMO of Chocolate City Beer.

This exclusive Belgium Abbey has the typical dark, sweet and yeasty quality of this type of ale. The flavor notes include toasted caramel, coffee, chocolate and vanilla which will fade as the sweet, cherry character emerges through the finish.

The beer will be available at participating locations mentioned above until the quantities run out.
