greenHILLhome Lecture This Thursday

uploaded to flickr.com by protographer23

For most of 2010 and into 2011 I wrote a biweekly post titled “greenHILLhome,” in which I covered ways to improve the energy efficiency of our homes, conserve the ecosystem around us, and reduce the waste our homes generate.  This coming Thurday at noon you can hear a continuation of some of the topics covered in that series at the District Architecture Center as part of the “25 Architects in 25 Weeks” lecture series.  The events are free and open to the public as an outreach program of the Washington DC Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.  Architects from around DC will be presenting a variety of topics in one-hour increments through most of 2012.  While the lecture won’t be as Hill-centric as the writings were, information will be presented pertaining to decreasing energy and water consumption as well as reducing waste generation in the home.

If you are in the Penn Quarter neighborhood this Thursday, consider spending your lunch hour with me at the District Architecture Center.  The DAC is located at 421 7th Street NW.
