No, not the Sopranos-style “get rid of” but something more temporary (and more legal): the final Walking Shtick Tour of the season!
According to a press release:
We’re finishing the year with a bang, with our day after Thanksgiving “Dump Your In-Laws On Us Tour”. For one and a half glorious hours you can enjoy some down time while we usher your in-laws around our fair neighborhood. We’ll show them the local sites, integrate them into the rich historic fabric of life on the Hill, and share a little of why we like living here so much. But we don’t want them too bored so we’ll be sure to throw in some local color from our Haunted Hill and Scandal Tours as well.
If you’d like to tag along we’re offering $5 off if you can show a 20002 or 20003 drivers license (just for you, the in-laws have to pay full price!). The tour will be about 1 ½ hours long and involves moderate walking.
But do you really care what we do with them? Here’s the info you need:
Date: Friday, November 26
Time: 3 pm
Place: Meet at Eastern Market Metro Plaza, near the Barracks Row Historical Marker
Cost: $15 per person ($10 for 20002/20003 residents)

And finally, don’t worry, we’ll be back in 2011 when it starts warming up again. We’ll be adding some new tours as well. Not to give too much away, but it just might involve beer!

I took a Walking Shtick Scandal Tour earlier this year and I can attest that these guys do a great job. (And I’m not just saying that because they’re fellow THIHers!) I’ve lived and/or worked on the Hill for 17 years, and they showed me spots and told me stories I’d never heard. So just because you live here doesn’t mean this tour isn’t for you. Walking Shtick does a great job of making their tours appeal to in- and out of towners, so don’t miss your last chance to check them out this year!
