I’d like to say it’s the principle of living an organized, uncluttered life that motivates me to get rid of all the clothes, books and gadgets I haven’t touched in a year (or so), but we all know that’s not true. It’s the new pair of boots I bought that have forced me to make room in the closet, the new pasta machine that required more space in the kitchen cabinets, and the artwork I’ve had my eye on that has forced me to think about what bits of furniture I want to give up so the pieces have space to “breathe”. (Yeah, people say that.)
If you’re doing a little redecorating or picking up a few new things for the fall, take all that stuff you aren’t using and put it on your sidewalk.
