Folks at the Deputy Mayor’s Office for Economic Development seem to be on track to pick a developer for the Hine Jr. High School site at 7th Street SE and Pennsylvania Avenue SE.
“We expect to make a decision as soon as next week,” stated spokesman Sean Madigan.
Just to refresh our August-saturated memories, the three contenders are, alphabetically, Bozzutto Group/Scallan Properties, Stanton Development Corp./Eastbanc and StreetSense/DSF/Menkiti Group. Whoever wins, demolition will be a doozy, so stay tuned for information on the winner and the next steps here.
