Local Non-Profit Recognized by L’Oreal

Corinne Cannon, Founder of the DC Diaper Bank, has been recognized as a Woman of Worth by L’Oreal Paris USA. The distinction earns the Diaper Bank $10,000, with a shot at $25,000.  Cannon is one of ten finalists for the top prize, chosen from more than 4,000 nominations.

header-logoThe DC Diaper Bank helps more than 2,500 families a month by distributing diapers, formula and other items to their partner organizations.  Started over four years ago by Cannon, the organization is headquartered in her Capitol Hill home, with a Silver Spring warehouse added in September 2013, in order to house the more than 650,000 diapers they have distributed in the last year (over 1.1 million in the past four years). DC Diaper Bank has been recognized by the Catalogue for Philanthropy as one of DC’s best small non-profits.

Help out this great Hill organization by voting for Cannon to be the top Woman of Worth. Votes will be tallied through November 21st, and can be cast once per day. The winner will be announced December 2nd.
